Christmas Post 2009

As always, we had such a great Christmas. It is so fun to watch Jackson and Bowen and their excitement throughout the whole season. I should include Justin in that sentence as well! He gets almost as giddy for all of the Christmas surprises. We spent Christmas Eve with the Mauss family, then spent Christmas morning at our house. Santa was very good to us! We went to Price Christmas Day and spent a few days with my parents. Here are a few fun memories of our Christmas 2009!

Opening presents Christmas morning. Justin is too busy to look at the camera!

Jackson and Bowen posing in front of the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve night!

Cookies and milk for Santa. We made and frosted cookies for Santa the day before. Bowen insisted that Santa would want apple juice as well, since that is his own drink of choice.

Family picture with Grandma Great at her annual Christmas party. My sweet Grandma is winding down with her time on earth, so this was a special gathering. She is 91! I love her so much, and I am grateful my boys have had the chance to get to know a very special lady.

Bowen wanted a red scooter this year. However, this is how Bowen sat on Santa's lap. The joke of the season was Bowen's reaction to Santa. He was obsessed with letting us know that he did not like Santa. He would pace at all of the Christmas parties in anticipation of Santa's arrival. Of course, he was always excited to receive a special gift from Santa, but within minutes, he was sure to let us know, again, that Santa "scares me."

Jackson, on the other hand, couldn't wait to see Santa at each party. He would change what he wanted for Christmas at each encounter. Sometimes it was a bike ramp, and sometimes it was a DS. Santa chose the bike ramp!
Although thinking of having to wait another year for another magical Christmas season is a bummer, we were excited to push on through the cold Utah winter and closer to having a new baby sister!
