Winter...Winter...Winter...

Ahh...the joys of winter. This picture is mostly for my sister, Alison, to show her what we are going through up here in Utah! I think it's official to say that Justin and I are experiencing the blahs of winter. I haven't posted for awhile because I have a bad attitude about the winter season right now and thought we haven't been doing anything lately either. However, after I started looking through my recent pictures, I realized we have actually done a lot of fun and new things! I am so grateful for the example my kids are to me of enjoying and finding happiness in life ALWAYS (even in the dead of winter)! With winter forcing us indoors, I also have realized it is a great time to get closer and spend more quality time together as a family. So while I am anticipating the arrival of Spring, I am grateful for fun winter memories!

One of the exciting things we've done this winter is make car seat changes! Jackson has graduated to a booster and (Yahoo!) no more infant seat for Bowen! This is one of my favorite "growing up" changes.

It is so fun to WATCH Jackson enjoy the outdoor winter activities. Our neighbors have a pretty steep driveway which is perfect for a little neighborhood sledding! I've decided that kids don't feel the cold quite like we do. Jackson could stay out there forever! Justin and I have taken turns taking Jackson sledding in various locations, and I will say that we have had so much fun. Jackson's favorite thing to do is go to the top of the hill with his long sled, get a running start, and belly flop onto it. This, of course, gives him a great start down the hill!

Jackson has become quite a Jazz fan this year. He has a D-Will and Boozer jersey. He will respond to each of those names on the days he wears his jersey! This picture is at "Meet the Players Night" at the Energy Solutions Arena. We met most of the players and were able to get most of their autographs. The highlight of the night was when D-Will noticed Jackson wearing his jersey and called out, "Nice jersey, Little Man." Jackson just smiled and casually waved to him. It was so cute! D-Will signed his jersey, so Justin retired it and is planning on having it framed. Wow...

Another exciting FIRST: Jackson's first day at Primary as a Sunbeam!

I love my boys so much! Every night, when I reflect on the day, I realize just how much joy and happiness my little family brings me. They bring so much LIGHT into my life. Jackson is so kind to Bowen. This picture is not rehearsed; Jackson is always showing such concern and love for Bowen. And of course, Bowen lights up whenever Jackson shows him attention! I hope this "brotherly love" lasts!

Your boys are darling! Glad to see you are fighting the winter blues with some fun activities. What a lucky boy Jackson is to have met the Jazz players. Rob is very jealous of your 3-year-old! Maybe I'll have Evan take Brotherly-Love Lessons from Jackson. He isn't always the softest around Lily!

I think that you guys are such a great family! It's so fun to see what goes on outside our own lives.
Matt and I for sure have the January grumps! Such a let down month. Hopefully ours perks up here really quick with a baby.! Love your Brother pictures! They are really so darn cute!

Today the boys went swimming in the jacuzzi- it was the best way for them to wind down after playing outside all day on their bikes in nothing but long-sleeve t-shirts. Oh, sorry. Am I being rude and RUBBING it in?
Jackson looks good in that gray sweater. I wish I could steal Bo-Bo's dimples and insert them on my face. They are so dang awesome.

You are so good to think on the positive, even during this frigid month! I had a reality check lately, and thankfully things are looking up for us too. Thanks for sharing your experiences and pictures. The boys are getting so big! Can't wait to see you guys soon... And I totally think we should plan a cousin playdate sometime next month. Are you in?

I can't believe how fast they're growing, the picture of the two of them together is especially sweet. Hope to see you guys soon!
