Happy Birthday, Bowen!

Bowen turned 3 last week, and we had so much fun celebrating with him! He loves Cars (the movie) and the Jazz Bear, so his birthday presents and parties had a little bit of both. If we asked him what he wanted for his birthday, all he would ever say is "a Jazz Bear cake." So with a little help from Aunt Tey (who has connections at the Jazz--and no, it's not D-Will) and Harmon's, his birthday wish came true!

Throughout the week, I would ask Bowen questions about his likes/dislikes. This is what I found out:

Favorite color: "Black--like Jazz Bear" (???)

Favorite Food: "Jazz Bear Cake"

Bowen loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Cars, quoting Sandlot, and doing anything Jackson is doing. He can be a little fiesty, but has the best manners around. Bowen refuses to go to nursery (much to the dismay of Justin), but would be fine going to Primary with Jackson if we would let him! He rides a Razor scooter, loves T-ball, playing catch, and hitting golf balls.

Bowen knows his "ABC's" and knows what sound most of the letters make (thanks to Letter Factory:)). He loves to color and is really good at staying in the lines. When he gets mad at someone, Bowen calls them a "praying mantis." We're not quite sure why he thinks that is a "bad name" to call someone, but at least it isn't crapface, right?

We celebrated Bowen's birthday as a family on the day of his birthday with presents and a trip to Jump on It. Then we celebrated with grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles on Super Bowl Sunday. Lucky Boy!

Bowen's other birthday obsession this year was his request to celebrate his birthday at "Jump On It" with Jackson. Does he look happy or what?



Jackson got his first set of golf clubs and bag when he turned 3, so we decided to keep that as a tradition with our kids. Bowen already had his golf clubs because he is a lefty, but he did get his own golf bag and putter for his birthday. Since we've been having warmer weather (45 degrees), they've been playing golf outside in our yard this week. It's fun to see them share the love for golf with their daddy!
