Our Birthday Girl!

Oh, how we love this little girl!  I cannot believe she is 1!  It has been a wonderful first year with her in our family, and we look forward to many, many more to come.  She is a beautiful little lady who brings smiles to everyone around.  Because the Bailey Family had gathered the night before Alivia's birthday for Emerson's blessing, we just had the Mauss side of the family over for a birthday celebration (with the exception of Jo Jo and Chris, of course)!

THE CAKE!  The little tag on the cake said "Prettiest Princess in the "Hole" Land!"

Alivia had her own little cupcake to munch on.  Jackson and Bowen helped her blow out her candle. She also loved the balloons!  She made a little happy squeal every time she saw them!

Hayes and Alivia are only 5 weeks apart.  They have a great time playing together!  At one time during the night, Alivia used Hayes as her support to pull herself up.  He wasn't so sure about her big hug, but he patiently waited for someone to pull her off!  They are two happy little kids!

Chris and Joanna babysit for us more than anyone else--ok, they are our only babysitters right now.  We loved having them over along with Justin's family.  We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family with lot of cousins/friends to grow up with.  It was fun watching them open Alivia's presents and being excited about her gifts.

Here is some fun information about Alivia!

Alivia is a good little eater, but she only likes to feed herself.  She loves grapes, blueberries, mac and cheese, and pretty much anything that anyone else around her is eating.  Just lately, she has taken quite a liking to french fries (nice and healthy).  This is Alivia's birthday lunch at McDonald's.

Alivia LOVES bathtime!  When she hears me turn the water on, she comes crawling quickly to the bathroom.  She cannot wait for me to undress her.  She tries to take her diaper off the whole time.  She also just repeatedly says, "ba!"

Alivia gives great slobbery, open-mouthed kisses upon request.  I caught her going in to give Justin a kiss:

(See the open mouth...)

Alivia loves her brothers, and they love her!  She loves to tell them "bye-bye" (which she says "ba-ba" while waving) when it's time for her to go to bed.  She loves their hugs and their attention.

When Alivia is mad at something, she does a growling/grunt sound.  Luckily, she is easily distracted!  For example, if I take a toy away from her at Target to put back on the shelf, she growls at me!  But she's over it by the time we leave the aisle.

Alivia had her one year well visit today.  She is a healthy girl!  She weighs 21 pounds 6 ounces (60%), and is 29 inches tall (50%).  He head is still in the 95%!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

She is so sweet. I have a feeling she'll have the men in her life wrapped around her little finger.

She is such a beauty! Love the cake. It's so ridiculous that it's been a year. Time is flying by too quickly!
