Jackson is 7!

Jackson turned 7, and boy, did we celebrate!  He had a party with his little first grade "guy" friends at Boondocks.  They had a lot of fun and were quite a crazy bunch!

It's not a surprise that Jackson chose a sports-themed cake.  Right now, he is loving baseball because he is playing baseball.

This is one of the reasons Jackson wanted to have his birthday party with his friends at Boondocks---the tickets!
Jackson and his friends played laser tag and arcade games as part of the birthday fun. Bowen got in on the fun too, and had a great time hanging out with a crowd of rowdy boys!

Jackson then had a party with his cousins and neighborhood friends.  (No, two birthday parties will probably not happen again.)  We went to the movie, "Gnomeo and Juliet", and then had lunch and a scavenger hunt.  Annie, Charlie, Cade, Mickelle, Nate Smith, and Will came to help us celebrate!

And the final celebration...Jackson's actual birthday with just his family!  He chose McDonald's for his birthday breakfast.  We also went to the Mayan for dinner.  A lot of celebrating for a special boy!
7 year-old Jackson:
Loves sports--he is playing baseball and soccer right now.  But he looks forward to summer golf and fall flag football.
Likes reading and going to school. His teachers told me his is a great first grader, but is also a typical boy first grader.  He apparently can't sit still!  He is doing well with his French too.
Favorite food:  turkey and cheese sandwiches!
Favorite color: Blue (for BYU!)
Favorite movie:  he loved seeing "Rio," and "Kung Fu Panda 2" in the theater.
He is such a nurturing older brother, and  he is a good friend. We feel blessed to have him as a leader in our family.  We love you Jacksie!
